About Us: Public is the long-term investing platform. Investors use AI and a vast variety of asset classes, from stocks and bonds to crypto and options, to build portfolios for the long haul. Launched in 2019, Public has been trusted with billions in assets of affluent investors. Headquartered in New York City, it’s raised over $400M from investors like Accel and Tiger Global. The Role Public is looking for an Investor Community Manager to be our front-line presence across social media and online investing communities. You’ll engage directly with investors, creators, and market voices to elevate Public’s profile, spark authentic conversations, and generate leads for our growth team. This isn’t a social media content role — it’s active participation. You’ll be out in the wild where investors actually talk, from X (Twitter) and LinkedIn to Discord, Reddit, and niche finance communities. You’ll help shape Public’s reputation among traders and investors by being part of the conversation, bringing others on our team into the mix when their voices add value, and ensuring Public shows up where our investors (and future investors) are. To put it plainly: we need somebody that in their personal life loves social media and loves the world of investing, markets, economics and can leverage that for success in this role. What You’ll Do

Engage directly with investors online: Join conversations across X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and more — sharing insights, perspectives, and commentary that reflect Public’s mission and expertise. Raise Public’s profile: Proactively participate in trending finance discussions, comment threads, and creator communities where Public should have a voice. Activate internal voices: Tag in and collaborate across the Public team to jump into relevant conversations. Support lead generation: Identify and surface high-value connections and potential partners for the growth team. Track performance: Measure engagement, sentiment, and lead outcomes from proactive community activity.

Who You Are

A natural conversationalist who thrives in fast-moving online spaces. An active investor who markets, and  is deeply familiar with the language of trading communities. Equally comfortable chatting with a retail investor, creator, or institutional voice. Authentic, personable, and genuinely curious. You care about connecting, not just posting. Self-directed and proactive, owning opportunities to engage with investors across channels. Strategic thinker who can balance community building with tangible growth impact.

Experience

Experience in community management, social engagement, or growth roles, ideally in fintech, investing, or trading. Solid understanding of markets, trading platforms, and investor culture. Strong writing and communication skills with an authentic, human voice. Comfortable navigating analytics to understand what’s working and where to lean in further.

Public is an equal employment opportunity employer to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type.  We celebrate people of all race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
