HTC VIVE is seeking Social Media Community Creators/Moderators with experience managing/moderating twitter discord.


This is a temporary, part-time role.


Must be a current University of California, Berkeley student.



Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Community Management

o Manage VIVERSE's Discord Server and social media, especially twitter; monitor discord channels and facilitate the community moderators; keep internal and external informational resources up-to-date in an environment of rapid iteration; work closely with the team to write and disseminate critical information about feature updates, as well as bug-related issues as they arise.

· Community Building:

o Responsible for discord moderation, on-platform events such as AMAs, and other activities to engage and connect with the broader discord community; onboard new users and ensure their continued engagement with VIVERSE while promoting a vibrant community culture on Discord.

· Customer Insights:

o Contribute ideas and effort to our brand, content, and community strategies; this individual will not be the point of contact for responding to individual customer complaints/inquiries, but will cluster them into trends for the team to understand

· Brand Awareness

o Work closely with other VIVE Brands to produce exclusive contents and create a diverse creative community.

· Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate autonomously in an unstructured start-up environment

· Create Tiktok video content



Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Abilities)

· Experience creating Tiktok videos

· Experience using Discord Server

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Knowledge and passion for NFT/Crypto, VR, DAOs and Web3

· Ability to maneuver social media tools to glean trends, statistics, and insights of other prominent NFT or DAOs

· Professionally represent the Company's core values and mission when interacting with external parties

· Strong work ethic, and ability to work closely with, and collaborate effectively with other teams

· A global mindset: someone who has either worked internationally or had experience managing a global community

· A self-starter with experience using decentralized technologies, combined with some experience in customer success and marketing at an early stage software company

Some specific responsibilities of a community manager in web3 may include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies for engaging with and growing the community in social madia (most likely on Discord and Twitter)
  • Moderating online forums and social media groups, and responding to community members questions and concerns
  • Organizing and hosting events and meetups to bring community members together and foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Working closely with the development team to ensure that the community's needs and feedback are being taken into account in the design and development of the technology
  • Providing regular updates and information to the community about the progress and status of the technology
  • Dentifying and addressing any issues or conflicts within the community, and working to resolve them in a positive and constructive manner.
