- Design, deploy, and maintain ultra-low-latency network infrastructure connecting several dozen trading venues.
- Measure and analyze end-to-end latency, packet loss, and jitter; identify and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Build optimized routing paths, BGP configurations, and peering strategies for global trading connectivity.
- Work with data center and telecom providers to establish cross-connects, leased lines, and dark fiber routes.
- Tune Linux networking stacks and NIC configurations for microsecond-level performance.
- Automate network monitoring, telemetry, and alerting systems.
- Collaborate with devops, trading and infrastructure teams on seamless networking solution integration in trading algorithms.
- Maintain network security and resilience while optimizing for minimal overhead.
- 3+ years in a similar Network Engineer / Infrastructure / SRE role focused on performance and reliability.
- Proven experience designing and operating low-latency, high-throughput networks.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (especially BGP), and network diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with Linux network tuning, kernel parameters, and packet capture/analysis tools (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark, Corvil).
- Experience with data center networking, colocation connectivity and cross-connect provisioning.
- Demonstrated success in reducing latency or jitter across distributed systems.
- Ability to automate network configuration and monitoring (Python, Ansible, or equivalent).
- Security-first mindset - experience balancing low latency with robust protection (DDoS mitigation, ACLs, etc.).
- You bring insights or optimizations we haven’t discovered yet - unique approaches that make networks faster, leaner, or more reliable.
- Networking design experience for crypto or trad-fi HFT systems.
- Experience with BGP peering and optimization, route-maps, and latency-based routing policies.
- Exposure to exchange connectivity protocols (FIX, WebSocket, proprietary APIs).
- Familiarity with FPGA acceleration, kernel bypass frameworks (DPDK, VMA), or hardware timestamping.
- Understanding of crypto exchange infrastructure, colocation ecosystems and market data networks.
- Willingness to support mission-critical trading infrastructure outside working hours.
