About The Role

As a Data Engineer at Notabene, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how crypto transactions are settled globally. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the business, turning their BI requirements into impactful, data-driven insights.

In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining our data pipelines, scaling our data warehouse architecture, and ensuring data insights are optimized and scalable across the organization.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll also be instrumental in driving forward a data-driven culture at Notabene. You’ll be working closely with key stakeholders across the business providing insights will directly influence our strategic decisions as we grow, and you’ll help us transform our data into a key product offering for our customers and the broader industry.

Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using dbt, Airbyte, Redshift, and Sigma
    • Work closely with product, engineering, and bizops/GTM teams to gather data requirements, setup dashboards and generate critical insights
    • Build a data engineering function from scratch, including leading a high-performing data team as the business scales
    • Promote a data culture at Notabene and embed data-driven decision-making across the company
    • Ensure data governance and security practices are in place, especially around high-security PII data
    • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data infrastructure and pipelines to ensure performance and scalability

What you bring to Notabene

    • 8+ years working in data engineering
    • Proven experience in building and maintaining ETL pipelines and data infrastructure (Airbyte, Redshift, Sigma preferred)
    • Strong experience working with dbt core/cloud
    • Business savvy and capable of interfacing with finance, revenue and ops leaders to build our business intelligence
    • Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and managing data teams
    • Expertise in data governance, best practices, and data security, especially related to PII
    • Proficiency in SQL and Python and with experience working in AWS
    • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a global, remote-first company
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments
