Sr. Frontend Engineer - Remote
What you will be doing:
- Research existing code editors and IDEs and come up with ideas for Gno IDE for new features and improving UX.
- Have an active role in architectural decisions and design, implement the low level functionality, and user interface for the web Gno IDE, based on the high-fidelity mockups produced by our design team.
- Ensure the code you write is high quality, readable, maintainable with minimal technical debt; create discussions with the team to find and apply best practices to the project.Â
- Review PRs from other members and share knowledge to contribute to increasing the team's total know-how.
- Ensure our web application and components are accessible, responsive, performant, and bug-free for recent versions of web browsers across all popular platforms.
We are looking for someone who has/is:
- At least 6 years of experience as a frontend engineer with at least 4 years of hands-on experience with ReactJS,
- Excellent HTML5, Javascript, and DOM skills,
- Excellent understanding of best practices and various design patterns,
- Very familiar with the libraries in JavaScript and ReactJS ecosystems,
- Very familiar with SPA and universal apps,
- Strong care for code quality, building sustainable, maintainable, and reusable systems,
- Excellent understanding of state management and interacting with the backend through different protocols, good overall understanding of how backend systems work,
- Good CSS skills,
- Good in translating designs and wireframes to code,
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git,
- Proficient in front-end tooling and build systems,
- Self-driven, creative, and has an eye on UI/UX,
- Up-to-date with what's latest in HTML5, ReactJS, libraries, and methodologies,Â
- Good in benchmarking and optimization,
- Clear and concise written and oral English communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Fascination with blockchain technology; possessing knowledge of the technology itself, blockchain ecosystems, and how crypto wallets work,
- Familiarity with VueJS,
- Familiarity with Golang and/or backends systems,
- Familiarity with Cosmos-SDK,
- Has played with/or built smart contracts,
- Documentation skills,
- Open-source contributions experience.
