Company Description

At Fun.xyz, we believe a tokenized future is a beneficial inevitability, granting financial emancipation to everyone with an internet connection. For a blockchain-first global economy to exist, value exchange must become intuitive, secure, and seamless.

Enter Checkout — the highest converting payment solution in web3. By integrating Checkout, dApps enable users to complete any on-chain action using crypto from a wallet, centralized exchange, or on-ramped fiat from a card or bank account. With access to market-leading routing and their asset portfolio at the point of sale, users are faster, stickier, and more engaged. For dApps, Checkout scales their user acquisition potential without launching new chains or integrating multiple third-party providers.

We built Checkout because we envision a world where anyone, anywhere, can purchase anything with any asset. If that sounds like a vision you can get behind, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

We’re seeking experienced Business Development professionals to accelerate Fun.xyz’s go-to-market efforts in key verticals, starting with DeFi and consumer crypto. You will own a portfolio of DeFi protocols and consumer crypto apps, cultivate executive-level partnerships, and consult clients on how to optimize their conversion rates.

You’ll work directly with our Head of BD, acting as a force multiplier for Fun.xyz’s growth. This role is ideal for an experienced salesperson currently working on ecosystem growth, BD, or partnerships at a DeFi protocol, blockchain foundation, exchange, or infrastructure company — ready to bring their network and expertise to a high-velocity startup.

What You’ll Do

    • Consultative Sales: Excellent salespeople genuinely want to help clients solve their problems. You will communicate with the top applications in crypto, learn about their product challenges, and help solve them.
    • Own Strategic Relationships: Leverage existing connections with top crypto apps to open new opportunities with target accounts.
    • Full-Cycle BD: Run high-touch enterprise deals from sourcing to close — including discovery, demo, negotiation, and integration.
    • Travel the World: Represent the company at conferences and ecosystem events to build relationships and open new opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 5+ years of sales, BD, or partnerships experience — with a proven record of closing enterprise deals.
    • 3+ years of direct experience in crypto, ideally at a DeFi protocol, infrastructure company, exchange, or blockchain foundation.
    • Active, high-value relationships with leadership teams at top protocols (not just contacts, but trusted connections you can activate).
    • Deep understanding of DeFi and the blockchain ecosystem.
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills — able to engage executives, founders, and product leaders with equal credibility.
    • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

    • Experience selling payments infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with crypto UX challenges.

What Sets You Apart

    • You’ve been in crypto for years and have made friends while traveling the conference circuit.
    • You care about optimizing every detail of the sales process.
    • You don’t code, but you understand technology and love product.
    • You enjoy crypto and are familiar with how blockchains work.
    • You’re a self-starter and can make progress with little oversight.
    • You put in the effort required to win.
    • You have a growth mindset and care more about learning from your mistakes than hiding them.

Why Join Us

    • Join an early-stage revenue-generating company with a rare growth curve.
    • We invest in your skills with a sales advisor who teaches at MIT.
    • Work from a stunning office in NYC.
    • Collaborate with the best teams in crypto and bring millions of users onchain.
    • Join a team obsessed with excellence that hustles as hard as you.
    • Sell the best payment product in crypto.
    • Be part of a no-ego, high-performance culture.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
