We are currently looking for an Embedded Developer/ Engineer (100%) to join our team. The starting date would be asap at our office on the 24th floor of the Prime Tower in Zurich.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design firmware for an operator-facing approval terminal, part of an institutional-grade cryptocurrency custody solution
- Extend key components of our security architecture
- Influence architectural decisions of the overall infrastructure, including other related initiatives related to secure authorisation and the authentication of transactions
- Produce high quality, secure, and clean code
- Participate in code and design review activities
- Deep dive into the technological details of relevant blockchain protocols
- Closely collaborating with other teams, to develop new features
- Troubleshoot and resolve production support issues
- University degree in computer science or similar
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on embedded systems, preferably in the field of cryptography or security
- Proficiency in C programming; any additional institutional languages such as Java, Go, C#, Rust, etc. are a plus
- Knowledge of embedded systems, secure coding, and low-level optimisations
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks for embedded devices
- Familiarity with microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with unit testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Decent understanding of cryptographic primitives
- InfoSec and risk averse mindset
- Familiar with Linux or Mac environments
- Open minded and motivated to learn new skills and share existing knowledge
- Knowledge of and interest in blockchain technology and/or crypto assets is a plus
- English professional proficiency; German is a plus
