Copywriter

Unblocked

This job is closed

About the job:

Unblocked is onboarding the mainstream to Web3 by connecting fans to their favorite artists, brands, and creators through digital collectibles. Starting in music, we’ve partnered with industry leaders like Billboard, Primary Wave Music, and UMG to launch original NFT projects that have collectively brought in hundreds of thousands of users. Additionally, we’re expanding our white-label solution to serve major brands and have also established a branded NFT marketplace, Unblocked Exchange, to support indie artists and creators.

Our team is comprised of early builders at startups like Flipagram (acquired by TikTok) and Blockfolio (acquired by FTX), as well as consumer brands like Dapper Labs, Rotten Tomatoes, and DraftKings.

We’re looking for an experienced copywriter with a portfolio of successful marketing campaigns that span across social media, email, video, and more. You'll collaborate with Creative and Marketing to produce engaging assets for Unblocked. If you enjoy the challenge of writing in different voices and creating compelling copy, this might be the role for you!

Who you are:

  • A self-starter who is capable of bringing products to life through storytelling
  • 3+ years of experience working at an agency or in-house for a brand
  • Adaptability in situations where aspects of a campaign can change quickly
  • Confident in your ability to craft copy that is tailored to target audiences and marketing channels, but also not precious when it comes to creative feedback
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable with working cross-functionally
  • You’re excited about ushering in millions of new users to the Web3 space

Responsibilities:

  • Help establish the Unblocked brand voice and ensure consistency across platforms and various written communications
  • Develop creative concepts, write, and edit engaging copy for campaign assets, including marketing collateral, social media, blog, and email.
  • Proofread and edit every piece of work thoroughly to ensure that we deliver our message as clearly and effectively as possible.
  • Work with the Creative team to produce engaging content
  • Drive the narrative forward for our Unblocked Original NFT collections
  • Manage time and stay organized to handle multiple assignments and meet all deadlines

Nice to haves:

  • A sense of humor
  • Familiarity with project management software tools (Asana, Notion, AirTable, etc.)
  • Passionate about pop culture and understands the power of fandoms
  • Knowledge and interest in NFTs
  • Experience working across brand, performance, and product marketing
  • Experience working at a high-growth startup

Why Us:

  • We’re building a platform that helps bridge the gap from Web2 to Web3 for consumers
  • Our team is filled with high-energy creative thinkers and doers that share a contagious enthusiasm and believe in the power of what we’re building.
  • Opportunity to work on a wide range of campaigns with diverse partners, from big brands to indie artists
  • Competitive compensation and the opportunity to join a fun and growing team
  • 100% remote
  • We’re not crypto bros. We promise.
  • If it’s not clear from the prior statement, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
