This is a role for someone who's already shipped product in Web3 — at an exchange, protocol, analytics platform, or portfolio tracker — and wants a position working on the essential infrastructure layer that every active crypto user eventually needs.
- Integration coverage and data quality. You identify where blockchain and DeFi imports are missing, incomplete, or confusing, and then define what "correct" looks like precisely enough that engineering can build it without translation. You're the one reading the whitepaper, checking the API docs, writing the spec.
- Prioritisation. You balance user impact, data quality, growth, and retention to decide what gets built next. You make trade-off calls clearly and move fast enough to keep the roadmap credible and the team moving.
- Market intelligence. You stay close to what's shipping on-chain: new protocols, ecosystem shifts, competitor coverage gaps, while being able to turn those signals into a point of view on where Koinly should move next.
- You've shipped Web3 product at PM level. Roadmaps, stakeholder management, specs, growth and retention metrics. You owned the outcomes, not just contributed to them.
- You go deep on protocols, not just use them. You can explain how Pendle separates principal and yield, how Hyperliquid PnL settles, or how a given LP position accrues fees >> without looking it up! You've read whitepapers and formed opinions.
- You have a strong analytical foundation. Master's in a relevant field, or you've built your instincts through data analysis or research. You're comfortable with JSON, API docs, and on-chain data. You think in cohorts and funnels, and when you propose work, you can say what you expect it to move and why.
- You've worked somewhere meaningful in the space. Exchange, L1/L2 protocol, portfolio tracker, on-chain analytics — you know the landscape from the inside, not from following it on X or Reddit.
- You write specs engineers can build from. Clear, precise, no ambiguity left for someone else to resolve.
