Ripple is expanding its global footprint and looking to hire a Controller for its Singapore subsidiary. As the first Finance hire for the Singapore entity, the Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, play a key role in establishing scalable finance operations and build a high performing team to support the growing business. Reporting to the Global Controller, this will be a high visibility role that will collaborate cross functionally with all levels within the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Build the local accounting function from the ground up making the recommendations on team structure and strategic finance team hires
- Implement and standardize scalable processes for all major finance cycles including, but not limited to, Revenue Recognition, Procure to Pay, Order to collect, Financial Reporting/Month End Close, Intercompany and Crypto Operations
- Be a functional expert in local accounting and financial reporting related matters and work with the Global Consolidations team in ensuring appropriate consolidation and timely reporting
- Collaborate with the Global FP&A team in creating stand alone budgets and forecasts
- Manage the operations of our crypto holdings
- Lead any local audits, statutory filings and regulatory filings ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Hire, develop and lead a high performing team to support the growth of the Singapore operations
- Implement appropriate financial systems as needed
- Build scalable month end and reporting processes to ensure timely reporting to US parent company
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- At least 10 years of experience in a combination of industry, preferably in FinTech, and public accounting experience with at least 5 years in a general accounting or controllership function
- Bachelors degree and a Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or similar) with financial audit experience in the FinTech industry preferred. Experience working with financial service regulators a plus.
- Someone that is excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment and own critical decision-making responsibilities to build the team

- Must be proficient in the local Singapore accounting principles and have an understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- The proven ability to design and implement effective operational controls and processes in a highly regulated environment
- The position requires a strong business sense and the ability to understand the big picture while being detail-oriented
- Has the experience independently building out an accounting function from the ground up, hiring top talent, and making key decisions on structure and systems
- A proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to build strong working relationships
- Proficient with Intacct or a similar ERP required
- Preferred experience with reporting to a US based parent company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
