Position Summary

Coins.ph is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, design, and
development of our API platform powering digital payment services across multiple currencies
and markets. This role is instrumental in creating a unified, scalable, and developer-friendly
API architecture, enabling seamless integrations for partners, merchants, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of API-first product development,
fintech/payment systems, and platform scalability — with a track record of building public and
private APIs used in real-time money movement, wallet services, or digital commerce.

Key Responsibilities

    • 🔹 API Product Strategy & Ownership
    • Define and own the roadmap for Coins.ph’s API products, with a focus on unification and simplification across wallets, payments, and currencies.
    • Partner with engineering, compliance, operations, and business teams to align API development with strategic product and commercial goals.
    • 🔹 Architecture & Endpoint Design
    • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and reusable API architecture that minimizes redundant endpoints across fiat and crypto rails.
    • Establish and document API standards (naming, authentication, versioning, pagination, error handling, etc.) and drive consistent adoption across teams.
    • 🔹 Multi-Currency and Cross-Border Enablement
    • Ensure the API layer is designed to support multiple currencies, jurisdictions, and transaction types (e.g., wallet-to-wallet, bank-to-wallet, crypto conversions).
    • Work closely with compliance and legal to embed country-specific regulatory requirements into API behavior where applicable.
    • 🔹 Developer Experience & Ecosystem
    • Champion the developer experience, ensuring that APIs are intuitive, well-documented,and easy to test and integrate.
    • Lead the creation of developer portals, sandbox environments, and tools for external and internal API consumers.
    • 🔹 Monitoring, Governance & Lifecycle Management
    • Define success metrics (API adoption, latency, error rates) and collaborate with engineering to set up dashboards and monitoring.
    • Oversee API versioning, deprecation strategy, and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 7+ years of product management experience, ideally with 3+ years in API/platform product roles in fintech, payments, or SaaS.
    • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth2/security standards, and backend systems.
    • Experience working with multi-currency, multi-jurisdictional financial products is a strong plus.
    • Excellent cross-functional communication skills; ability to write clear product specs and manage competing priorities.
    • Passion for simplifying complex systems and delivering seamless developer experiences.
    • Be fluent in both English and Mandarin.
