The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech. We believe that the Monad blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world.
About The Role
Tokenization of real-world assets is one of the most significant structural shifts happening in financial markets — and Monad is positioned to be the home for it. As Tokenization Lead, you will own the end-to-end effort to build a thriving RWA ecosystem on Monad: sourcing and onboarding asset issuers, unlocking on-chain utility, and ensuring tokenized assets reach investors and end users at scale.
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role. You will manage the full workflow — from identifying and closing asset issuers, to coordinating with DeFi protocols and risk curators to make those assets useful on-chain, to working with distribution partners to put them in front of the right investors. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across BD, DeFi, and ecosystem partnerships, and report into senior leadership overseeing Monad's financial institutions effort.
What You Will Do
Issuer Sourcing & Onboarding
- Identify, engage, and onboard asset managers, tokenization platforms, and fund managers looking to issue or migrate tokenized assets onto Monad.
- Build and manage a structured issuer pipeline, tracking prospects from initial conversation through to live issuance.
- Develop a point of view on which asset classes to prioritize — balancing institutional credibility, investor demand, and Monad-specific differentiation — and execute against that thesis.
- Build early relationships with traditional financial institutions and asset managers, laying the groundwork for longer-term TradFi issuance on Monad.
- Coordinate with borrow/lend protocols and risk curators to ensure tokenized assets are integrated into DeFi primitives — lending, collateral, yield — once live on Monad.
- Manage incentive conversations with protocols to drive liquidity and usage of tokenized assets on-chain.
- Work toward common standards for how assets are issued and composed on Monad, providing predictability for issuers and clean integration paths for DeFi protocols.
- Ensure secondary market liquidity exists for tokenized assets on-chain, making the ecosystem credible to serious investors beyond just issuance.
- Work with Monad's BD and ecosystem teams to ensure tokenized assets reach end users at scale — through crypto-native allocators, retail platforms, e-wallets, CEXs, super-apps, fintechs, and neobanks.
- Understand and track who is holding tokenized assets on Monad, for how long, and why — using that data to refine sourcing priorities and build the case for new issuers.
- Maintain a clear view of the competitive tokenization landscape — which assets are being issued where, which platforms are gaining traction, and why issuers choose one chain over another.
- Develop working knowledge of the regulatory environment across key jurisdictions, understanding which asset types are viable where and ensuring Monad is positioned ahead of regulatory shifts rather than reacting to them.
- Serve as the connective tissue across issuers, DeFi teams, risk curators, and distribution partners — ensuring the tokenization workflow runs with accountability and momentum.
- Feed tokenization pipeline developments into Monad's broader investor relations and capital markets narrative, ensuring institutional MON investors understand the ecosystem being built.
Background
- 5–10 years of experience in one or more of the following: RWA or tokenization, asset management, institutional product at a digital asset firm, capital markets or structured products at a financial institution, or BD at a DeFi protocol with institutional focus.
- Direct familiarity with how tokenized assets work on-chain — you understand the issuance process, the role of risk curators and lending protocols, and what makes an asset useful versus merely issued.
- Experience managing multi-party workflows across issuers, protocols, and distribution partners.
- Strong relationship builder — comfortable engaging both traditional finance counterparts (asset managers, fund administrators) and crypto-native teams (DeFi protocols, risk curators, wallet platforms).
- Commercially sharp — able to identify which assets and issuers will move the needle for Monad and prioritize accordingly.
- Operationally organized — this role requires managing a complex, multi-stage pipeline across multiple counterparties simultaneously without losing track of where things stand.
- Clear communicator — able to translate between the language of TradFi and on-chain finance depending on the audience.
- Execution-oriented. You are comfortable owning a workflow end-to-end and driving it forward without waiting to be directed.
- Curious about the asset side of the equation — you follow which asset classes are gaining institutional traction, who the credible issuers are, and where demand is emerging.
- Collaborative — success in this role depends on working well with internal teams and external partners across very different contexts.
- Challenging problems. You’ll tackle deeply complex and technically demanding problems, with autonomy and impact.
- Endless Opportunity for Impact. The Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard is ubiquitous, but existing EVM-compatible chains are slow and bandwidth-constrained. Monad’s core innovations offer developers and founders the best of both worlds (portability and performance) and are a game-changer to power global on-chain finance.
- The right team. You’ll be part of a world class team, who are exceptional and highly-motivated.
- Culture. We’re a lean team working together to achieve very ambitious goals. We are united in our culture of collaboration, low ego, and high-quality output.
- Strong Ecosystem. The broader Monad ecosystem has attracted support from leading investors, builders and long-term contributors.
