As Senior Risk Management Officer you will report to the Managing Director of Crypto Finance Deutschland. The main responsibility is to build and manage a viable risk framework which meets all regulatory requirements.
The starting date is as soon as possible in our new office in Frankfurt am Main.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and manage risks to the organisation, its employees, stakeholders, assets and operations
- Develop strategies and policies that will establish the framework, tools, procedures, and internal control standards to achieve successful risk identification and management within best practice standards
- Oversee and monitor the enterprise risk management activities of the organisation
- Facilitate and coordinate regular risk and control assessments, creation and continuous improvement of risk control structures, address any weaknesses, and produce reports to senior management
- Perform independent risk assessments and analyses to address potential or specific new risks related to products, operations, technology or security
- Handle risk related projects and work closely with business functions
- Advise senior management on specific risks scenarios and course of action to address these risks
- Manage loss event reporting, incident reporting, and investigation of root causes
- Possess leadership presence to promote risk culture, and train and motivate staff to adopt new risk management practices
- Master’s degree in finance, economics or a technology-related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a comparable role in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Controlling
- Experience in crypto and/or trading is a plus
- Compliance experience or knowledge of German financial market regulation is a plus
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Strong problem-solving mind-set, creative in finding solutions, structured in implementation
- A dynamic person with an innovative spirit, a positive attitude, and strong motivational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and hands-on, with an attention to detail
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
