About Us
BlockchainUnmasked is working to make crypto crime solvable. We aim to streamline cryptocurrency forensic investigations through advanced automation combined with cutting-edge solutions. We work with our investigative partners to dramatically accelerate investigation times and boost success rates in interdiction, recovery, and deterrence.
We’re looking for an experienced Smart Contract Developer to help build the next generation of secure blockchain infrastructure, enhance forensic capabilities, and ensure airtight security in decentralized environments.
Role Overview
As a Smart Contract Developer, you’ll design, develop, audit, and optimize smart contracts that integrate with our AI-driven forensic analysis platform and our secure crypto wallet and hardware token. You’ll work closely with blockchain architects, cryptographers, and security experts to build robust, gas-efficient, and attack-resistant smart contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on Ethereum, Bitcoin L2s, Solana, or other relevant blockchains.
Collaborate with forensic engineers to integrate on-chain transaction tracing and investigative tooling.
Implement multi-signature, threshold cryptography, and secure key management mechanisms within smart contracts.
Develop and optimize zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), MPC, and privacy-enhancing cryptographic techniques where needed.
Conduct formal verification, fuzz testing, and security audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Ensure cross-chain interoperability and work on bridging protocols where necessary.
Work on automated alerting and enforcement mechanisms, enabling law enforcement to freeze or track illicit assets in real time.
-
Document and maintain clean, well-structured, and auditable code that meets compliance and forensic standards.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Have Skills
3+ years of experience in smart contract development.
Proficiency in Solidity, Rust, or Move (depending on target chains).
Experience with Ethereum (EVM), Bitcoin L2s, Solana, or other blockchains.
Strong understanding of DeFi protocols, security best practices, and attack vectors (reentrancy, flash loans, etc.).
Familiarity with cryptographic techniques such as ZKPs, MPC, homomorphic encryption, and key management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, security-first, and research-driven environment.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with cross-chain protocols, bridges, or interoperability frameworks.
Familiarity with wallet integrations, custody systems, or hardware-backed key management.
Experience with on-chain forensic analysis and blockchain analytics is a huge plus.
-
Experience in formal verification tools like Certora, Slither, or Echidna.

How do I get a job at DeFi?
Getting a job in the DeFi (decentralized finance) industry can be a competitive process, but there are a few steps you can take to increase your chances of finding a job in this field:
- Build up your skills and knowledge: To work in DeFi, you'll likely need to have a strong understanding of blockchain technology, as well as other related technologies such as smart contracts and cryptocurrency. Consider taking online courses or earning a degree in a relevant field to build up your skills and knowledge.
- Network with industry professionals: Attend meetups and conferences related to DeFi and make connections with professionals in the industry. Networking can be a valuable way to learn about job openings and get your foot in the door at a DeFi company.
- Create a strong online presence: Many DeFi companies will look at your online presence (such as your LinkedIn profile and personal website) when considering you for a job. Make sure to showcase your skills and accomplishments online and keep your profile up to date.
- Apply for relevant job openings: Keep an eye out for job openings at DeFi companies and apply for positions that align with your skills and experience. Apply for DeFi Jobs without Experience. Tailor your resume and cover letter to the specific job you're applying for and highlight any relevant experience or skills you have.
- Consider internships or volunteer work: DeFi Internships or volunteer work can be a great way to get your foot in the door and gain valuable experience in the DeFi industry. Many companies also offer internships to students, so consider applying for an internship if you're still in school.
- Be persistent: keep trying if you don't get a job right away. It can take time to find the right opportunity, but with the right skills and determination, you can land a job in the DeFi industry.
