Position Overview
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketing, support, executive leadership, and other stakeholders, to define design requirements and translate user needs into elegant solutions.
- Tackle complex end-to-end user flows and create something useful, easy, and elegant for our ever-growing diverse user base of beginners, "degens", and pros.
- Conduct user research, interviews and surveys, usability testing, and analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.
- Iteratively build and maintain a robust design system, and in collaboration with our frontend devs, define corresponding processes that help our product and team scale.
- Evolve the visual design language of the brand and distill a harmonious aesthetic across the UI, maintaining consistency and coherence across all touchpoints.
- Build charming interactions and animations that enhance user engagement and leave a lasting impression.
- Mentor and support junior designers (as the team grows), providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience shipping applications and software, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in product design for web and mobile.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions, present solutions to stakeholders, and receive feedback with openness and humility.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, critical-thinking skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems with a component-based architecture that correlates seamlessly with frontend systems.
- (Bonus) Experience working in the Web 3 space, with a passion for crypto and decentralized finance.
