NFT Tools Engineer

Responsibilities
As we grow our footprint in the new digital world, we’re seeking someone who can help us release non-fungible tokens quickly and flawlessly. This person should be detail- oriented with the ability to write effective, well-documented code and accompanying documentation. This code will be used to execute NFT drops and metadata updates on the blockchain, as well as enabling others to do so. Therefore, understandable workflows and notes on the process will be imperative.

Aside from writing the code that coordinates these drops, communication skills and ownership will be essential. You will be part of an exciting, growing team that seeks challenges, is always learning, and deeply values teamwork. Furthermore, you’ll be in a high-visibility role, with plenty of opportunities to tune your process and ensure each drop goes better than the last. As the owner of NFT tooling, you’ll be responsible for enabling the Drop team to write to the blockchain efficiency and without errors. This will include collecting requirements from users and stakeholders, understanding and improving our processes and making our services more robust and scalable. Excellent candidates will create pipelines that will automate drops to a high degree.

A fundamental understanding of the blockchain will be essential. As we deploy NFTs in bulk, gas savings can compound. Deep knowledge of the inner workings of Ethereum and smart contracts will enable a candidate to go above and beyond and achieve mastery of the minting process.

Essential Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages 2+ years experience in DevOps on AWS or another cloud provider
• Familiarity with Git or other source control tools
• Organized, able to blaze a trail, and leave a well-documented process behind
• Extreme ownership, makes sure launches go right and fixes them when they go wrong
• Excited about the possibilities NFTs bring to the table Able to resolve ambiguity
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years experience developing with Typescript
• Familiarity with the ethers.js library and interacting with the blockchain
• Experience recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to automate
• Knowledge of the inner workings of blockchain with regards to gas fees, security, etc.
