BlockFi is looking for a Senior QA Tester to join our growing team!

This is a fully remote role affiliated with our geographically distributed team.

About Your Team

As a Senior QA Tester, you will evaluate & test mobile, web and platform products according to Product specifications and standards.

• A strong technical background within Mobile and/or Web software testing;
• Decision making with minimal supervision and ability to work independently;
• Establishing processes and communication with diverse stakeholders (Product Managers, Technical Leads, Technical Project Managers, Front-end & Back-end Software Engineers, Infrastructure, SQA Testers, Automation Engineers);
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to build relationships within our remote teams;

Your Mission:

BlockFi is seeking a Senior QA Tester with a passion for delivering high quality, reliable software. In this role, you will be responsible for designing manual tests to validate custom software products and services. You will apply your experience and knowledge to transform requirements into actionable test plans and detailed test cases. This work will also result in reports and metrics which will allow us to continually improve. You will work closely with software and systems engineers in debugging and defining corrective actions.

• Test Mobile and/or Web software to ensure quality adheres to specifications and documentation;
• Develop and execute test plans;
• Review and contribute to product documentation;
• Conduct and/or participate in formal and informal reviews throughout the development life cycle;
• Develop & standardize methods to determine product quality and release readiness;
• Develop testing programs for regression testing, negative testing, bugs, and usability;
• Assist in the planning and execution of end user and third party test events;
• Conduct compatibility tests within software architecture, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments;
• Develop and define quality standards, including metrics and scoring parameters;
• Document bug reports and track progress;

Your Expertise:

• • Minimum 6+ years of software/application testing incl. Mobile and Web products;
  • Solid knowledge of functional testing for large and complex applications incl. end-to-end and experience-based testing;
  • Skilled in many techniques for designing test cases;
  • Competent in TDD, BDD, ATDD approaches;
  • Experienced in defining and executing manual test strategies, test plans and effective regression testing;
  • Practical usage and good understanding of both top-down and bottom-up approaches;
  • Experience with Android Studio, XCode or other native emulation environments;
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills (English);
  • Able to work independently while maintaining transparency and collaboration with a larger team;
  • Maintain composure and tact under pressure;
