We are looking for an android developer responsible for building and maintaining the android torrenting app.
You will be the sole Android Engineer in our San Francisco office. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and improve the utorrent/BitTorrent android apps, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Development and support of our Android application
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements
- Generate proof of concepts for bleeding edge technologies
- Identify and correct performance bottlenecks and bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and build/test/release automation
Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years working experience in Android Development
- BSCS or related
- Experience with Android SDK, Java and Kotlin
Bonus!
- Experience with Android NDK and C++
- Participated in a major app available on Google Play Store
- Familiar with peer to peer technology
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Self motivated
