RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own dYdX’s end-to-end financial reporting and bookkeeping process in collaboration with external accounting and tax partners
• Provide monthly reporting to the team internally with highlights and commentary based on key strategic considerations and ongoing priorities
• Manage all accounting, payroll, expenses, and payment/billing infrastructure as well as corresponding vendor/partner relationships
• Oversee ongoing processing and tracking of financial workflows (both fiat/bank and crypto/stablecoin), and work with Operations as needed
• Oversee balance sheet management of fiat and crypto/stablecoins across various relationships.
• Enable and unblock the dYdX team for all financial items while maintaining an ownership mentality
• Develop annual/quarterly forecasts for planning purposes (including scenario modeling and considering performance metrics)
• Proactively expand tooling and tracking as needed to support the operational needs of the dYdX team
• Manage global tax planning across the dYdX protocol and internal activities.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 3-7 years of experience working in a Finance Lead function (Finance Lead, Senior FP&A, and Finance Director/Manager are examples of prior role titles)
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting/reporting, and taxes as well as the needs of high-throughput company operations
• Strong familiarity with Excel and financial management tools
• Experience working with outside accounting and tax firm partners
• A “get it done” attitude and ownership mentality – bias toward action, great collaboration and master disambiguation – constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
• Execution and detail oriented with the humility, drive, and scrappiness to get things done
• Communicate effectively and in a structured manner across all mediums
• Project management, time management, and ability to multitask
• Desire and passion to go deep in crypto and DeFi (if no prior experience)

NICE TO HAVES:

• SQL experience

** San Francisco and NYC are preferred locations; Remote is also okay
