About the role

HTK Consulting is seeking a Public Relations Associate to support the team in the development and execution of strategic communications and media relations strategies on behalf of our portfolio of blockchain and emerging technology clients. The person in this role will work closely with a variety of marketers from content to social and community, and be a part of the core PR team, supporting our Public Relation Directors and Marketing Directors. The ideal candidate has strong writing and communications skills with experience in communications or PR at agencies or in-house roles. The ideal candidate comes with a background in crypto, financial services, fintech, consumer finance or technology, fashion, gaming or entertainment that can be applied to the world of decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and Web3.Candidates must have a strong interest in these topics and must be eager to immerse themselves in this new and exciting technological ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Support the Public Relations Director with marketing/ communications campaigns including strategy, goals, tactics, research and execution
• Support the development of media targets for client campaigns, seeking both industry and high-level targets across online, podcast, influencers and video
• Create content for press releases, pitches and briefing materials
• Be apart of the facilitation of thought leadership opportunities for our clients across podcasts, events, and media
• Support in and managing all relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout execution process
• Assist in coordinating all public relations activities, managing media inquiries and founder requests
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results, creating wrap-up reports after campaigns with PR Director
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
• Support on crisis communications when necessary
• Be highly responsive to clients and teammates facilitating smooth teamwork and delivery

Requirements

• At least 1-3 years experience working in public relations at an agency or in-house with crypto, tech, consumer finance, financial services, VC, entertainment, gaming or fashion brands.
• Understanding of DeFi, NFTs, and prominent blockchain protocols
• Desire to work in the Web3 space
• Proven track record leading and executing successful public relations campaigns
• Strong media and influencer relationships
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
