The Team

Kraken’s Business Onboarding team is expanding as fast as the crypto industry itself. This role is integral in connecting Kraken with new business clients, to ensure that barriers to clients’ success are removed. Members of the Business Onboarding team have a background in KYB (Know your Business) , and leverage their fantastic interpersonal skills to onboard professional traders and institutional clients. While we greet each and every client with a smiling face and helping hand, we are always security-focused, and the team plays a vital role in maintaining the secure integrity of Kraken. We use our cutting-edge tools and situational awareness to identify where a client may experience difficulties, providing businesses with top-notch guidance so that they can begin their crypto journey with Kraken. Business Onboarding Specialists are often the first point of contact for new users, which is why we take pride in being a friendly and approachable team that gets our clients started on the right foot.

As a Business Onboarding Specialist, you will be part of a high-performing team that provides around the clock support to our clients, ensuring that new business clients are provided with a world class service and a 6-star experience from the start of their crypto journey with Kraken.

Our ideal candidate is a crypto-passionate client-advocate with an eye for detail. You must be ready to work hard with a close-knit team of sharp critical thinkers in a culture cultivated for feedback. You will succeed if you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and motivated to master the skills required to excel in your role. You will fit in if you are excited by being at the forefront of the crypto industry representing a leading exchange.

Flexibility in working hours is anticipated, including the possibility of evening and/or night shifts and availability for weekend work.

The Opportunity:

• Facilitate the seamless onboarding of institutional clients, and continually work to provide a 6-star experience in every client interaction

• Conduct client research on open source databases, and effectively communicate with clients via email

• Perform Know Your Business (KYB) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) practices

• Coordinate directly with Kraken’s Compliance team to obtain relevant KYB requirements

• Respond to client requests in a timely manner to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA), and reach ​​performance goals set by your Supervisor

• Attend Team meetings, training sessions and be diligent in keeping up with the Onboarding knowledge base

• Provide feedback and let your management line know how they can help you achieve your goals

Skills you should HODL:

• 1+ years of experience working in the financial services or crypto industry

• Basic understanding of regulatory KYB/CDD and AML requirements

• Knowledge of business models, various corporate structures and beneficial ownership requirements

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and written English communication skills

• Comfortable working in fast paced environments with a goal-oriented mindset

• People-centered, supportive, flexible and a team player

• Ability to multi-task and to handle high volumes of requests, all while creating a six-star experience for our clients

• Experience in a role where performance is measured with quantitative and qualitative metrics

• Availability to work between 16:00 - 00:00 UTC preferred

Nice to haves:

• Fluency in a second language

• Experience in KYB/CDD within the financial, compliance, or crypto industry
