Do you keep tabs on known whale and fund addresses? Can you explain the relative strengths and weaknesses of FRAX, MIM, and UST? If so, consider applying to be Optimism’s first Liquidity Provider focused Partnerships Manager.

As Optimism’s primary team member with a focus on Liquidity Providers you will identify and develop relationships with crypto’s most influential LPs, driving Optimism adoption with a focus on VCs, stablecoin providers and whales. The ideal candidate will have significant professional experience in a business development function with a focus on strategic partnerships, as well as a strong understanding of markets and liquidity, as well as DeFi and TradFi.

What are the role responsibilities?

  • Source, conduct due diligence, and execute high-value strategic partnerships with Liquidity Providers in the Ethereum ecosystem
  • Leverage the networks of our well-connected team and supporting organizations (VCs, advisors, existing partners)
  • Provide a strategic perspective to product and engineering teams, delivering critical business insights that allow us to build a better product
  • Define and lead new initiatives within the partnerships team to expand the reach of Optimism
  • Work closely with existing Optimism projects to understand and address their liquidity needs
  • Track relevant projects and industry developments in DeFi, TradFi and crypto in general

What skills do you bring?

  • Experience in partnerships managing relationships with liquidity providers of all kinds (VCs, financial institutions, whales, etc)
  • Strong passion for blockchain tech with a focus on DeFi
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to identify, pursue and close complex partnerships
  • Ability to present and speak in public to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Wide professional network, ideally within the Ethereum and DeFi ecosystems
  • Comfortable navigating uncertainty and ambiguity among the complexity of the crypto/payments space
