Consensys Community Advocate 

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Job Overview

As a Consensys Community Advocate based in Fort Worth, TX, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and nurturing an active and engaged community of web3 developers, startups, entrepreneurs, and blockchain enthusiasts. You will act as a Consensys advocate, championing Consensys products while inspiring community members to become advocates themselves. This position will serve as the local point of contact, forming a bridge between the global Consensys community and the Fort Worth area. This is a contractor position that will begin at approximately 10 hours a week.

Responsibilities

1. Build, manage, and grow a vibrant, engaging Ethereum developer community in Fort Worth, TX, focusing on fostering understanding and application of Consensys products.

2. Host regular meetups, workshops, webinars, and other events to educate community members on Consensys products and the broader Ethereum ecosystem.

3. Work closely with local startups, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts to increase the adoption and awareness of Ethereum and Consensys products.

4. Act as the primary local point of contact for Consensys, answering community questions, providing product support, and channeling feedback to the Consensys team.

5. Leverage existing relationships within the web3 community and build new ones to increase community size and engagement.

6. Collaborate with global Consensys community managers and the broader team to coordinate efforts, share best practices, and support wider company objectives.

7. Advocate for a decentralized future, leading by example and inspiring others to do the same.

Qualifications

1. Deep understanding and passion for Ethereum, blockchain technology, and the web3 ecosystem.

2. Can speak to and assist web3 developers.

3. Prior involvement in the web3 community.

4. Familiarity with Consensys products and their applications.

5. Excellent community management and relationship-building skills.

6. Proven track record of hosting events, meetups, or workshops.

7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

8. Experience working with startups, entrepreneurs, and/or tech enthusiasts.

9. Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.

10. Willingness to travel locally and represent Consensys at events and meetings.
