About The Role:

Pagoda is shepherding a future where NEAR becomes the blockchain operating system. We believe that re-inventing how software is made and distributed is our greatest opportunity to open economic access to those who are not fully integrated into the global economy. Our products empower people to find opportunity, invent new experiences, and collaborate. Let's build an Open Web world. A world where people control their assets, data, and power of governance.

The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Pagoda and the NEAR Ecosystem. This team of designers, open source advocates, and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that bring our community together in new and special ways.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to drive critical engagement efforts that help our teams communicate and collaborate. As a PM on the Engagement team, you will be at the center of building out decentralized messaging and communication systems. Working cross-functionally across the ecosystem, you will be tasked with optimizing team collaboration by iterating on new ways to use blockchain to communicate in a secure and decentralized way. Your work will result in fundamental shifts in how people connect on the internet and a better experience for Web3 users everywhere. This is an influential and strategic role within the organization and broader open source ecosystem.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop goals, strategy and roadmaps for the Engagement team.
  • Set metrics that inform the success and impact of efforts
  • Lead cross-functional teams and open-source projects to build tools that help our teams become more efficient and effective
  • Work closely with the data, protocol, and application engineering teams to drive day-to-day execution against OKRs
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, UX Design, User Research, & Marketing
  • Open Source Advocacy
  • Closely monitor and measure results of all features and infrastructure improvements
  • Develop and present go-forward recommendations with key stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

  • Ability to deliver exceptional results in an intense but collaborative and thoughtful environment
  • Ability to work cross collaboration with engineers, designers, and open source contributors.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and a proven ability to solve challenging problems
  • Ability to make timely decisions without clear direction or all the information at all times
  • Ability to deliver exceptional results in an intense but collaborative and kind environment
  • A team player
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Ideally 3+ years of product management, design or program management experience at a technology company

We'd Love If You Have:

  • A passion for Web3
  • Messaging product or related meaningful experience
  • Experience building large scale communication tools
  • Understanding of Open Source

Here’s What Our Interview Process Looks Like:
