Technical Project Manager (remote)

Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Technical Project Manager as part of the IT project management team, you will coordinate between business and IT the delivery of internal and external products at Bitcoin Depot. In this role, primary responsibility includes effectively managing development sprints from planning to execution in an agile development environment. Additionally, you run daily scrums, manage backlog, collaborating on requirement documentation, manage defect tickets and manage any blocked task that could delay delivery of sprint. The Ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, assertiveness, excellent communication skills, multitask and work within a fast-paced environment, and ability to coordinate between cross-functional teams within Bitcoin Depot.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates daily stand-up, iteration planning, estimates, sprint review, and iteration retrospective
• Work with IT development and IT ops coordinating sprint releases and change control processes.
• Work with IT Business Systems analyst to create or analyze business requirements documents and project timelines
• Lead team iteration execution and delivery.
• Communicates with management and stakeholders
• Manages and controls sprint deliveries and tasks and making sure that new features/requirements are not introduced during a sprint that would delay a sprint
• Manage conflicts, challenges and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance
• Work with the team leads to resolve people problems and project roadblocks
• Able to do post mortem and root cause analysis after sprint releases.
• Implement and support principles, rules and processes
• Manage project sprints, stories/epics, estimates, task assignments using JIRA
• Presents high level project status to senior management
• Supports product owner(s) and coordinates with Business Systems Analyst to make sure that product or business requirements are clearly defined, prioritized and in scope of product requirements.
• Manage other special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3+ years of project management experience and minimum of 2 years leading Scrum/Agile projects
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
• Project Management and/or Scrum Master certification.
• Ability to coach and lead an agile scrum team and process within Bitcoin Depot cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum Agile process and rules
• Strong understanding of SDLC process
• Experience working with IT development and architecture teams.
• Passionate commitment and driven to deliver products on time
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and comfortable with presenting to senior level management.
• Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning
• Comfortable and ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
• Self-motivated, organized
• Experience in Fintech software development, payment processing industry preferred
• Experience and understanding of blockchain technology and industry preferred
