Your mission

• Drive the technical vision and architecture for CoinTracker.

• Identify and solve complex technical challenges related to performance, scalability, and system reliability.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

Your one year outcomes

• Scale the end-to-end data foundation stack to support 10M+ transactions per user.

• Establish the foundational architecture for the new Cost basis engine product.

• Develop a long-term engineering vision aligned with business goals.

What you will do

• Tackle the most challenging technical problems and provide guidance on trade-offs and optimal solutions.

• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams.

• Contribute to code reviews and architectural discussions.

• Mentor engineers fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.

• Stay ahead of industry trends, introduce new technologies, and align engineering efforts with business objectives.

• Role-specific

  • 14+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and implementing large scale systems.

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Deep knowledge of backend technologies, including cloud platforms, databases, orchestrators, messaging systems, data pipelines, and more.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from inception through execution.

  • Experience with real-time data processing systems.

  • Experience with Enterprise SaaS development.

  • [Bonus] Experience in crypto or financial systems

• You don’t need to know any or all of these, but be willing to learn!

The starting salary for this position is between $292,500 - $375,000. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
