Crypto investors use Nansen to discover opportunities, perform due diligence and defend their portfolios with our real-time dashboards and alerts.The Role We’re looking for a Lead Mobile Engineer to spearhead the development of our mobile app using React Native. This is a high-impact, greenfield opportunity to build the app from scratch, define the architecture, and shape the user experience for thousands of crypto investors. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to ship fast, beautiful, and intelligent mobile experiences that are deeply integrated with the Nansen ecosystem. What You’ll Do

Build the first version of the Nansen mobile app using React Native. Be the lead engineer for a team with strong React (web) engineers who are motivated to learn React Native fast. Own the architecture, tooling, and core components for mobile. Collaborate with design and product to create intuitive, responsive UI/UX. Integrate with backend systems and analytics APIs. Drive performance, security, and scalability of the mobile app. Set a high bar for code quality, testing, and velocity.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in software engineering. 3+ years building high-quality mobile apps in React Native. Strong grasp of mobile app lifecycles, performance tuning, and scalable architecture. Experience shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play. AI-native development mindset—you use tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar daily to move faster. Product-oriented thinking—you care about the why, not just the how. Startup DNA: you move fast, take ownership, and bias toward action. Provide technical leadership and mentorship on mobile development best practices to our React-focused team. Deep understanding of iOS and Android platform differences and limitations. Experience mentoring developers transitioning from web to mobile development. Bonus: experience with crypto, DeFi, wallets, or onchain data.
