The NEAR Horizon team is looking for a software engineer. NEAR Horizon is a startup support platform that connects web3 founders with contributors and backers for growth and success. The Horizon platform is built on NEAR’s Blockchain Operating System. We’re an international team that understands the technology and works well with product, technical, and business stakeholders. This is a remote position on a contract basis.
You Will:
- Be responsible for front end development. Collaborate with the design and development team to enhance the UI/UX of the Horizon front end, especially focused on mobile responsiveness
- Migrate components to use new features of the BOS as they come out
- Develop and maintain a reusable component library for both desktop and mobile design
You Should Apply If:
- Experienced with JSX (React or other frameworks utilizing JSX like SolidJS, Preact…), Styled-Components (implementing UI designs with Styled-Components and JSX), NEAR Protocol (Optional - understanding how to call/interact with smart contracts on the chain), Rust
- Great communication skills - being able to understand and explain the scope of work you are undertaking
- Comfortable with working in a fast paced environment bleeding edge software and autonomy and ownership
- Experienced with open source and/or start-up environments
- Able to work with a global remote team and can be flexible to attend meetings to accommodate the global team.
