Job Title: Senior Protocol Engineer

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Protocol Engineer to join our team. As a customizable rollup provider, my client specializes in building scalable decentralized applications for various industries. In this role, you will be responsible for developing mission-critical systems and managing a small engineering team. You will also collaborate with a team of researchers to design and build the system architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of mission-critical systems for our customizable rollup provider.
• Manage and mentor a small engineering team, providing technical guidance and support.
• Collaborate with researchers to design and implement system architecture.
• Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in decentralized technologies, protocols, and frameworks.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in software development with a focus on mission-critical systems.
• Strong proficiency in Rust programming language.
• Familiarity with optimistic and zero-knowledge technologies.
• Solid understanding of decentralized systems, blockchain protocols, and cryptographic principles.
• Experience in managing and leading small engineering teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with customizable rollup solutions.
• Knowledge of Ethereum and smart contract development.
• Experience with other programming languages, such as Solidity or C++.
• Contributions to open-source projects related to decentralized technologies.
