Location

Paris or remote (from GMT -4 up to GMT +2 to ensure sufficient overlap with the rest of the team) being open to periodical visits to our office.

Mission & Responsibilities

As a Senior Protocol Engineer you will engage in all aspects of protocol development, from ideation to implementation and security. In particular, you will:

• Contribute to research design ideas including lending mechanisms, liquidations, oracles, etc.
• Develop prototypes or products, primarily in Solidity, with the ability to learn other languages as needed.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, and leadership to inform architecture decisions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in blockchain technology, ensuring that our solutions remain at the forefront of the industry.
  
  

Job requirements

Must-have Experience & Skills

• Master’s degree in quantitative fields (Math, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Economics) or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software architectural design and implementation of complex systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in blockchain R&D, with a strong track record in protocol design and implementation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Low ego.
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience writing smart-contracts securing significant TVL
• A deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Solidity
• PhD in quantitative fields (Math, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Economics)
• Publication record in applied cryptography, security, cryptoeconomics, MEV, blockchain, distributed system, or related domains
