Rome Protocol
$150k - $250k
New York, NY, USA

About Rome Protocol

Rome Protocol is building a shared sequencer network leveraging Solana. Shared sequencers solve the biggest problems for Ethereum’s rollup-centric future. Using Solana as a shared sequencer leverages a well-tested, secure, and high throughput network to solve these problems.

We are building a shared sequencer that can be integrated with OP stack, Arbitrum Orbit, ZK rollups, etc. It is intended to be used for thousands of rollups.

We work in person from our New York City office. The founders collectively have decades of experience in fintech and banking (JP Morgan, Plaid, Deutsche Bank). We are backed by some of the biggest VCs in the space.

As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration of rollups and more customers with Rome, working together with the team.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and design documentation skills, and a strong grasp of software lifecycle and teamwork.
  • Academic background in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong focus on software design, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

  • Acquainted with blockchain infrastructures (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, or akin) and the nuances of rollups and their integration hurdles.

What does an Solana developer do?

As a Solana developer, your responsibilities would include designing, implementing, and maintaining applications on the Solana blockchain platform using Rust programming language

This would involve using the Solana software development kit (SDK) to write smart contracts and build decentralized applications (dApps) that make use of the platform's features and capabilities

You would also be responsible for ensuring that your dApps are secure, efficient, and scalable, and for testing and debugging your code to ensure its correct behavior

Additionally, you may be involved in the ongoing development and improvement of the Solana platform itself, working with other members of the Solana community to drive innovation and advance the state of blockchain technology.
