Requirements
As our inaugural Protocol Engineer, you will lead the research and development efforts of our Network. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our protocol strategy, designing secure and efficient mechanisms, and guiding their evolution.
About You
- Proficient in researching and designing complex on-chain mechanisms and protocols.
- Possess a foundational understanding of mathematics to support parameter simulation and definition.
- Experience with protocol engineering and development tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Deep involvement in the cryptocurrency space.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Proficiency in implementing intricate smart contracts with high Total Value Locked (TVL).
- Experience leading protocol security, including audit management and other operational security activities.
- Refine, simulate, and define parameters for the Network mechanism to prevent hacks on integrated L2 networks.
- Lead decision-making regarding the technology stack for implementing the mechanism (e.g., app-rollup vs. app-chain, Cairo vs. Solidity, etc.).
- Select appropriate off-the-shelf technologies required for the mechanism.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and security (including audit coordination) of the protocol.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate our Network with existing infrastructure.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in security and blockchain development (e.g., Foundry, etc.).

What does a solidity developer do?
A Solidity developer is a programmer who specializes in writing smart contracts using the Solidity programming language
Solidity is a contract-oriented, high-level language for implementing smart contracts on various blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum
The responsibilities of a Solidity developer can vary depending on the specific project they are working on, but some common tasks they might be responsible for include:
- Writing and testing Solidity code for smart contracts, Debugging and troubleshooting issues with existing smart contracts
- Collaborating with other members of the development team to ensure that the contracts are implemented according to the project's specifications
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the Solidity and blockchain communities, and incorporating new best practices and techniques into their work
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of coding standards and guidelines for the project.
