Job Overview

The VP, Crypto Portfolio Strategy will lead the development and implementation of blockchain technologies within Bjak's platform. This role is responsible for driving innovation, ensuring the security and scalability of blockchain applications, and aligning technology initiatives with Bjak's mission of providing accessible financial services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of blockchain technology, extensive experience in software engineering, and a strong track record of leadership in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Blockchain Strategy & Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive blockchain strategy that aligns with Bjak's business goals and technological advancements.
    • Oversee the architecture, design, and development of blockchain-based solutions.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Lead a team of blockchain engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    • Ensure best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure the security and integrity of blockchain applications, including smart contracts and distributed ledger technologies.
    • Collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all blockchain solutions meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Innovation & Research:
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in blockchain technology.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within Bjak’s blockchain initiatives.
  • Collaboration & Integration:
    • Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate blockchain technology with existing systems and platforms.
    • Ensure seamless interoperability between blockchain components and other technological infrastructure.
  • Performance & Scalability:
    • Optimize blockchain solutions for performance and scalability to handle growing user demands.
    • Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on blockchain technology.
    • Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams in a high-growth, innovative environment.
    • Strong understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, cryptography, and distributed systems.
    • Experience with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda) and development tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in the financial services or insurance industry is a plus.
    • Familiarity with the US market and regulatory environment is highly desirable.
