What you’ll do:
- Help build the future of our iOS product by contributing to a ground-up rewrite of a formative App Store experience—one that’s been shipping continuously since iOS 2.0.
- Write code in Swift using UIKit and SwiftUI to create a dynamic, flexible, native user experience that allows our users to discover, save, organize, enjoy, and share millions of articles.
- Cultivate an expertise in developing custom user interfaces and components, from inception through implementation.
- Utilize modern practices like test-driven development, pair programming, and agile methodologies to deliver software incrementally.
- Work closely with our existing mobile engineers to build an extraordinary engineering experience for yourself and your peers.
What you already have:
- 5+ years of general industry experience, and 5+ years of hands-on experience with iOS development.
- Knowledge of UIKit and SwiftUI
- Confidence building user experiences natively with Apple first-party libraries and tools
- Pride in your ability to explain your ideas, and to understand the ideas of others.
- Passion for custom mobile user experiences and controls
