Backed by $25M in Series A funding, Nexus is headquartered in San Francisco and powered by a world-class team of engineers, cryptographers, and researchers.

As a Senior Developer Relations Engineer, you will be a critical link between our technology and the developers building on it. Your mission is to foster a vibrant developer community, create exceptional tools and resources, and showcase the transformative potential of Nexus's platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement: Build and nurture a thriving developer ecosystem by actively engaging with developers through forums, Discord, GitHub, and social media platforms.

  • Technical Advocacy: Represent Nexus in developer communities by delivering compelling talks, hosting workshops, and participating in conferences to share our vision and technology.

  • Educational Resources: Create clear, engaging technical documentation, tutorials, blog posts, and videos that simplify complex topics like zero-knowledge proofs, smart contracts, and Web3 development.

  • Developer Tools: Collaborate with engineering teams to build tools, SDKs, and APIs that enhance the developer experience and streamline integration with the Nexus platform.

  • Feedback Loops: Act as a conduit between developers and Nexus's product and engineering teams, ensuring developer needs and pain points shape our roadmap.

  • Open-Source Advocacy: Promote and contribute to open-source projects, encouraging external contributions and showcasing the benefits of Nexus's open-source ecosystem.

  • Metrics-Driven Growth: Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) for developer engagement, adoption, and satisfaction, using these insights to continuously improve outreach and tooling.

  • Event Leadership: Organize and lead Nexus-focused developer events, such as hackathons, webinars, and meetups, to inspire and support the next wave of innovators.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in developer relations, software engineering, or a similar technical advocacy role.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Rust, with a deep understanding of blockchain technologies and smart contract development.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with experience simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Developer Tools: Experience building or working with SDKs, APIs, or command-line tools for developers.

  • Web3 Knowledge: Familiarity with zero-knowledge proofs, decentralized systems, and blockchain ecosystems like Ethereum, Solana, ICP, Aptos, Near.

  • Community Building: Proven track record of engaging with developer communities, fostering collaboration, and creating a sense of belonging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Open Source Leadership: Contributions to open-source projects or experience maintaining community-driven repositories.

  • Event Expertise: Experience organizing developer events, from small meetups to large-scale hackathons or conferences.
