CONTENT STRATEGIST - DISCORD & WEB3

Position: Full-time

Overview

Movement Strategy is a 130 person social media agency with an amazing roster of clients like Netflix, Amazon, Warner Bros., Intuit, Klarna, Showtime, and many others. We have grown to become one of the most awarded social media agencies including wins this past year at the Clios, Promax and Shorty Awards for our work across TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Reddit.

Beginning in 2021 we started experimenting with all things Web3. We launched Netflix’s first ever NFT project. We designed the Space Jam NFT’s. We were the first agency to open an office in Decentraland complete with an office warming party POAP (and write-up about it in Adage).

Heading into 2022, the projects that we are taking on in this space are more ambitious as we begin to truly embrace all things Web3 including NFTs, DAOs and the Metaverse in a more meaningful and long term way.

We are looking for someone to help lead us on this journey as we begin to understand how to truly build native web3 communities on behalf of brands and internally at our agency. We are looking for someone with experience building communities on Discord specifically. The person we are looking for has been or is currently a Discord moderator and has been actively involved on Discord for at least a couple of years.

The ideal candidate is also someone who is spending a lot of their time focused on the web3 space, actively participating in DAOs, collecting NFTs, experimenting with various crypto wallets, learning about tokenomics, etc.

You will work closely with our integrated team across our in-house and client web3 projects, interacting with clients as needed throughout the duration of the work.

Responsibilities

Discord Strategy: Work with key stakeholders to implement Discord content and server strategy which includes channel curation, community management and policies, server rules, bot usage, and more to ensure an active and engaging dialog.

Discord Set-Up: We are looking for someone that can be in charge of setting up Discord Servers for our clients including leveraging all of the necessary plug-ins based on the specifics of the project. Ideally you are also familiar with setting up servers to fight bots and against any other malicious attacks.

Discord Moderation: We are looking for someone that understands how to build and foster community through moderation. You will lead Discord moderation for our agency and on behalf of our clients, ultimately bringing on additional mods for the larger channels that we begin to manage.

Web3 Education: You will be actively involved in the larger Web3 community and continually educating people within our agency at what is happening that we should be aware of and opportunities in the space for us to look at.

Web3 Strategy: You will work closely with the senior leadership of the company to identify opportunities within the Web3 space for our agency and for our clients.
