DL News is looking for a fast, markets-savvy journalist to join our growing newsroom.

As a Markets Correspondent, you’ll cover the daily moves and bigger narratives driving crypto. You’ll deliver sharp stories that explain not just what’s happening, but why it matters.

What you’ll be doing

• Pitch and report stories based on market movements, analyst notes, and other real-time catalysts (See our stories published under “markets”)
• File at least 2-3 stories per day:
• 1-2 stories by 8:30am UK time
• 1-2 stories by 11:30am UK time
• Translate volatility and market jargon into clean, accessible language

Must have

• Experience reporting on crypto, DeFi, or traditional finance (“content writing” and “technical analysis’ are ineligible for this role; only journalistic experience will be considered)
• Strong news judgment and the ability to meet tight daily deadlines
• Familiarity with markets coverage and the crypto industry
• A proven ability to cultivate sources across the industry, especially with market analysts
• Clear, concise writing with a solid grasp of what readers care about
• Location in GMT+4 or later — this is essential for starting work before the London team and have copies ready early in the day

Nice to have

• A track record of getting scoops or developing original market angles
• A well-developed roster of reliable analyst contacts
• Knowledge of token launches, perp markets, macro catalysts, or degen trading culture
