As the Senior Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager. You will play a major role in Magic Eden’s Accounting team. This position will be part of a busy, fast-paced work environment. A successful, driven Senior Accountant will have the ability to multitask, a willingness to learn and do whatever it takes to get the job done. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including, but not limited to: accounting issues, preparation of financial statements & packets, and working with and presenting to Senior Management.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure integrity of accounting records through well prepared journal entries with adequate documentation, thorough analysis and monthly reconciliations
- Prepare frequent account analyses to ensure accuracy of business transactions occurring in general ledger accounts and lead investigation and resolution where needed
- Assist in managing the monthly financial close process, which includes ensuring revenue earned and costs incurred are appropriately recorded, overseeing the preparation of account balance reconciliations, reviewing journal entries to ensure they are complete, accurate, and resolving issues
- Analyze and prepare monthly financial packages for review, including detailed variance explanations against budget and forecast
- Assist with the management of annual financial audits and monthly / quarterly reporting for Senior leadership
- Prepare thoroughly researched technical memorandums for significant and/or non-routine transactions
- Recommend practices to improve department efficiency and maximize use of available technology; assist in updating Company financial policies and procedures
- Ability to stay current with emerging financial (crypto) accounting rules and drive the implementation of new accounting rules within the business

What you bring:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of accounting-related work experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP Accounting
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably NetSuite)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to set and keep deadlines at a fast pace without losing accuracy
- Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information

Nice to Have

- CPA certification or CPA track
- Public (Big 4) accounting experience
- Web3/FinTech experience
- SQL Experience

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. The base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
