Working at Wintermute

We are looking for a Trading Analyst in London with good Python coding skills and a curiosity about HFT, market making and crypto trading. You will be working closely with the traders on the trading  floor to expand and improve trading activities across multiple markets and strategies. You will learn from them and be at the centre of the action, from supporting trading to liaising with developers while keeping in mind automation/scalability and supporting the middle office team in improving trade settlement and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilites:

    • Provide support to traders during ad-hoc market events.
    • Support  in troubleshooting and debugging live trading systems, detecting and addressing any system errors.
    • Developing and generating new reports, analysis and GUI tools which can be used by traders to improve strategies.
    • Design and maintain data visualizations that deliver insights and actionable market information for traders.
    • Architect and manage service deployments to ensure the trading environment operates reliably and within defined performance thresholds.
    • Conduct trade reconciliation, ensuring the accuracy of trade economics and settlement agreements.

Hard Skills Requirements

    • Good Python skills - you have experience coding in Python, be that through work, study or personal project experience - we will test!
    • Experience in analytical roles or software development is preferred, but we are open to talented graduates.
    • Good quantitative and analytical skills
    • Trading knowledge isn’t required for this role but a strong willingness and curiosity to learn algorithmic, high-frequency, quantitative and market making trading is crucial

Join our dynamic team and benefit from:

    • Working at one of the most innovative trading firms globally.
    • Engaging projects offering accelerated responsibilities and ownership compared to traditional finance environments.
    • A vibrant working culture with frequent team meals, holiday celebrations, gaming events, and company-wide outings, including our annual Wintermute weekend getaway.
    • A Wintermute-inspired office, featuring an array of amenities such as table tennis, personalized desk configurations, a cozy team breakout area with games and free food.
    • Great company culture: informal, non-hierarchical, ambitious, highly professional with a startup vibe, collaborative and entrepreneurial.
    • A performance-based compensation with a significant earning potential alongside standard perks like private health insurance.

Note:

    • Although we are unable to accept fully remote candidates, we support significant flexibility in regards to working from home and working hours. We operate a hybrid working model but for this role we expect more office presence.
