Let’s go!Your mission As an Associate Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting Bitpanda’s Legal Team, assisting in corporate development, regulatory compliance, and the establishment of new products and business models. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic fintech environment while developing expertise in corporate and financial law, regulatory frameworks, and contract drafting. What you’ll do As a member of Bitpanda’s Legal Team, you will work closely with senior colleagues, supporting a wide range of legal and regulatory matters while building a strong foundation for Bitpanda’s international operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, including contracts, terms & conditions, internal policies, and regulatory filings. Assisting in regulatory matters and financial services regulation, including MiCAR and MiFID2 topics, as well as product structuring, corporate governance and intellectual property. Providing legal support on diverse topics such as token projects, financial instruments, commercial partnerships, marketing compliance, and dispute resolution. Conducting legal research and preparing risk assessments on regulatory developments relevant to Bitpanda’s business. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Product, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure legal and regulatory alignment.
Who you are
Education: A law degree from an Austrian, German, or Swiss university with a strong focus on corporate law, civil and civil procedural law, or financial regulation including MiFID 2 and crypto-asset regulation (additional knowledge in IT law, intellectual property, capital markets, or litigation is a plus). Experience: 1-3 years of professional experience in an international law firm or in-house legal team, ideally with exposure to financial services, fintech, or corporate law. Strong interest in fintech, digital assets, and financial markets, with a desire to expand knowledge in crypto-assets, trading, and regulatory frameworks. Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment. A team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, able to work independently when required.
