Crypto Content Strategist (English language)
Location
Hong Kong location (preferred) or remote
At Chaos Theory, our crypto content strategist is a writer, marketer, and blockchain evangelist
We're looking for someone who lives and breathes crypto â a marketing writer who can tell their MEV from their ZK-rollups.
If someone told you it was your job to wake up every morning, read up on everything from Layer 2 scaling solutions to DeFi yield strategies, write about those topics for a mix of social media posts, long-form explainers, and marketing emails, and then think ahead and build out a strategy around major events like Ethereum Pectra or Bitcoin halving, you wouldnât believe it.
Thatâs it. Thatâs the job.
Chaos Theory sits at the cutting edge of sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency, and we are growing rapidly on all fronts. In this role, youâll keep up our reputation as leaders in the crypto space, work on projects large and small, and be able to say, âIâm learning new things every day, and my work is helping us grow in ways most companies can only dream of.â
Letâs make it happen together.
A Day In The Life
You start the day by reviewing the latest BitcoinTalk and X (fka Twitter) discussions. Your recent analysis of TVL and NFT volume trends on X didn't start as much of a conversation as you expected, so you quickly brainstorm ways to optimize the next one, deciding to share a post comparing gas fees of supported SPL tokens on the platform with a clearer call-to-action.
Next, the partnerships team updates you on an upcoming Token2049 summit where we want our brand to feature. You decide on overall messaging with your manager, focusing on press releases, social media strategies, email campaigns, and potential influencer collaborations with crypto KOLs. You organize tasks in your project management tool, request design assets, and set draft deadlines to ensure everything aligns before the event.
After lunch, you meet with the product team to discuss a new on-ramp function on the platform. You give key early feedback from a content perspective and gain insights for crafting messaging for potential users. You draft a press release and send it to your editor for feedback, recommending three key outlets that will be interested in the story.
Later in the afternoon, a request comes in from customer support to create a Help Center article addressing common questions about a recent blockchain update. You know itâs a big question in the crypto community right now, so you get it done in less than an hour before heading home.
Throughout the day, you're balancing multiple crypto content projects, ensuring clarity, engagement, and accuracy across all channels â but youâre in control. Everyone wins.
To succeed in this role, youâll need:
- Exceptional writing and editing skills in English, with a passion for writing about blockchain-enabled technologies.
- Proven experience creating engaging crypto-related content across blogs, social media, PR, and email campaigns.
- Some familiarity with CMS and CRM tools (WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Customer IO, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.).
- Ability to research and write authoritatively on a wide range of crypto topics.
- A basic understanding of marketing analytics (Google Analytics or similar).
- Knowledge of SEO principles and how to incorporate them into content.
- Ability to write in many different >
- Creativity, with a strong drive to innovate and push boundaries.
Itâd be great â but not necessary â if you also had:
- Basic graphic design or image editing skills (especially Adobe Suite).
- Experience in Public Relations or media outreach.
- Technical understanding and familiarity with the Web3 community.
- Experience working closely with designers, UX/UI teams, or having design skills yourself.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the marketing and PR teams to develop, implement, and refine an overarching crypto content strategy.
- Creating, editing, A/B testing, and managing content across various channels, including:
- Blog posts
- Social media content
- Email campaigns
- Press releases
- Landing pages
- In-app content
- Internal communications
- Coordinating with the localization manager to adapt content for different languages and regions.
- Working with the SEO team to ensure best practices are followed for all digital content.
In exchange, we offer:
- Competitive salary and benefits.
- A stable yet fast-growing company with the mindset of a startup and the resources of a large firm.
- Career development opportunities with regular check-ins, skill-building, and mentorship.
- An in-house gym with free fitness classes.
- Flexible work environment, with the option to work remotely.
- A fully stocked kitchen and bar, complete with leather sofas, guitars, and a top-notch sound system for breaks and after-hours relaxation.
Where youâll work:
Our office spans six floors in Hong Kongâs SoHo district, offering a modern and fun workspace complete with a gym, yoga studio, and entertainment areas. We collaborate with colleagues worldwide to shake things up in one of the most exciting industries today: sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency.
Weâre looking for someone based in Hong Kong or a nearby time zone, but weâre open to remote candidates who can align with our teamâs working hours.
