About Massa: Massa is a Layer 1 blockchain protocol offering Autonomous Smart Contracts and on-chain web capabilities. We are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive growth, foster partnerships, and expand our ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development Strategy
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive adoption and growth
    • Identify key markets and verticals for expansion
    • Attract, manage, and support local junior business development contractors in target countries, including Africa, Asia, and the USA
  2. Developer Engagement
    • Attend events at conferences and meetups worldwide to attract developers and crypto enthusiasts
    • Organize meetups and online sessions with student developers, particularly in tech universities with established blockchain departments
    • Collaborate with universities, incubators, accelerators, and blockchain associations to attract developers
  3. Partnerships and Integrations
    • Explore integration opportunities with other blockchain platforms to expand Massa's ecosystem
    • Target builders on other non-EVM chains to encourage migration and collaboration
    • Identify and pursue partnerships with enterprises, governments, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders
  4. Ecosystem Success
    • Monitor and evaluate candidates for the grants program
    • Conduct regular check-ins with projects to identify and address their needs
    • Assist in improving developer documentation, tutorials, and resources

Requirements:

  • Extensive web3 contacts and knowledge of projects that could gain traction on Massa
  • Understanding of Massa's unique features and ability to identify projects that showcase our autonomous smart contracts and on-chain web capabilities
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • 2+ year experience in business development, partnerships, or ecosystem growth in the blockchain industry

Compensation:

  • Full-time: Range of $50k-70k/year fixed depending on experience, plus success fees
  • Part-time and commission/bounty models are also available
  • Probationary period applies
