What You’ll Do:

As io.net's Community Lead, your mission is to globally develop and enrich our community. In collaboration with marketing and product teams, you'll manage and grow our presence on platforms like Discord and Telegram, embody brand ambassadorship, and spearhead engaging events and content strategies. Your role demands a mastery of community engagement tools, a data-driven approach to engagement analytics, deep knowledge of crypto and Web3 culture, the ability to onboard and manage a global team of part and full time community managers, experience building and executing on community programs (including questing, community events, and other activities), and a keen eye on industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global Community Development: Develop and execute strategies to introduce and expand the community globally in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
  • Channel Management: Oversee community channels like Discord,Telegram, Reddit, and LinkedIn ensuring engagement, growth, and a vibrant culture.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a brand ambassador to recruit new members, celebrate their contributions, and implement systems for engagement and retention.
  • Event Management: Plan, execute, and evaluate community events and immersive online experiences to foster connectivity and enhance community vibrancy.
  • Content Strategy: Create compelling content and social media strategies to communicate the community's culture, promoting events and programs.
  • Engagement Analytics: Utilize analytics to measure community engagement and satisfaction, continually refining strategies for improvement.
  • Influencer Collaboration: Build relationships with industry influencers and leaders to expand the community's reach and reputation.
  • Trend Monitoring: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in community management, ensuring the community's strategies remain innovative and effective.
  • Questing Initiatives: Leverage tools such as Zealy, GALXE, Layer3, Moku, and similar platforms to design and implement questing activities that engage the community, encouraging active participation and deeper involvement in community goals and events.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and community development, with at least 3 years focused on the crypto/Web3 space, demonstrating a track record of significant growth and engagement in online communities.
  • Proven track record of building and managing Web3 communities, with deep familiarity with Web3 technology, slang, projects, and culture, especially Crypto Twitter.
  • Experience onboarding and managing a team of global community managers across different timezones
  • Strong background in brand storytelling, content creation, and digital marketing strategies with a metrics-driven approach to community engagement and growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of articulating technical concepts to diverse audiences and setting the tone in online spaces.
  • Creativity and self-direction in organizing community spaces, developing initiatives for growth and member rewards, and fostering positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in analyzing viral and retention loops, using data to inform community strategy and improvements.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
