About Crossroads:
Crossroads is a Solana community conference hosted in Istanbul, Turkey. This is the third year of the conference, and last year we hosted 2,500+ developers, founders, and community members for the 2 day event.
Crossroads is owned and managed by Step.Finance, a Solana data insights platform.
Job Description:
As the Social Media Manager for Crossroads, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a content strategy across social media platforms, primarily Twitter (X), to promote the Crossroads conference.
Your efforts will focus on ticket sales, event awareness, speaker announcements, sponsor announcements, and real-time engagement during the event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a content strategy leading up to and during Crossroads
- Manage Twitter activity with 2-3 posts per day, increasing to 15+ during the event.
- Highlight key event elements such as speakers, sessions, sponsors, and pre-conference activities.
- Curate content around Istanbul as a city to drive intrigue for foreign attendees
- Drive ticket sales through targeted messaging and promotions
- Create engaging, on-brand posts using text, images, and videos, showcasing behind-the-scenes content and real-time updates during the event. Note: we have an internal team of designers and videos editors
- Use tools like BannerBear to create templates for speakers/sponsors and other reusable social content
- At the event: Capture photos and quotes of presentations on the stages, share the latest announcements and news emerging from the conference, and engage with attendee conversations to foster community engagement on socials.
- Post-event content: summarize key takeaways, showcase attendee testimonials, and highlight speaker presentations.
You are:
- Crypto and Solana Native. This is critical. You must understand the ecosystem inside and out, key protocols, and be up to speed on all the latest trends within Solana
- Experienced at managing social media for large conferences/events, or have a track record of building up social audiences for other Solana projects
- Creative and able to produce high-quality, on-brand content.
- An excellent fact checker and copy editor
- Fluent in English
