What are the role responsibilities?

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, intercompany consolidations, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, and crypto wallet reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies for each group company.
  • Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing actionable P&L insights.
  • Manage the payroll process, including processing employee salaries, benefits, tax withholdings, and crypto remuneration, as well as processing expense claims and corporate card spend management.
  • Prepare numbers for corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations across the group.
  • Coordinate and manage the year-end internal audit process, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.
  • Manage cryptocurrency transactions, including recording purchases, sales, grants, and transfers, and reconciling wallet balances.
  • Assist in implementing internal financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
  • Stay informed about developments in the cryptocurrency industry, including regulatory changes and emerging accounting standards related to digital assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions related to token commitments and movements.
  • Work to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide additional support with token treasury logistics.
  • Provide the Controller with other support as required.

What skills do you bring?

  • Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CPA)
  • 5+ Years experience in a top 5 accounting firm
  • Strong technical accounting ability
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles under IFRS and US GAAP, with experience of applying them to a complex and dynamic business environment
  • Experience working with crypto transactions and digital assets is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with advanced excel / google sheets skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across the collective.
  • Proactive and creative mindset with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
