The Role: Head of Treasury
As the Head of Treasury, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of managing and safeguarding the Foundation’s financial assets, optimizing treasury operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of both traditional treasury functions and the unique challenges and opportunities presented by the crypto industry, especially in managing cash and W asset fluctuations within the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency space. You will play a crucial role in managing our digital assets, optimizing our capital structure, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Strategic Financial Planning:

• Develop and execute treasury strategies that align with the company's overall financial objectives and risk appetite.
• Forecast cash flows and manage liquidity to ensure operational needs are met while maximizing returns on excess funds.

Cash and Crypto Asset Management:

• Manage the company's holdings of cryptocurrencies and digital assets, including trading, investing, and secure storage.
• Monitor market trends and execute trades to optimize asset value and mitigate risks.

Capital Structure Optimization:

• Evaluate and recommend optimal capital structures, considering debt, equity, and crypto financing options.
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and liquidity providers to ensure access to capital as needed.

Risk Management:

• Implement robust risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
• Hedge against currency, interest rate, and crypto price risks using derivatives or other financial instruments.

Financial Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders, executives, and others as needed.

Banking:

• Oversee banking and financial institution relationships to support the above efforts.
• Manage bank accounts, ensuring appropriate maintenance and signing authority

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in treasury management, with significant exposure to cryptocurrencies and digital assets.
• Proven track record of strategic financial planning and execution in a high-growth environment.
• Deep understanding of blockchain technology, crypto markets, and associated risks.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Professional certifications such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) strongly preferred
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing cryptocurrencies and digital assets strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Qualified candidates must reside outside of the United States and ideally be located +/- 3 to 5 hours from Eastern Time
