Gauntlet is seeking a cracked Social Media Manager or Lead. In the forest of DeFi, a terminally online, CT-obsessed crypto native can have an asymmetrically positive impact. Is that you, anon? We’re looking for someone to lead our social media execution and strategy. You will copywrite on our products, analysis, and insights, and engage with our clients, community, and the industry.
The role reports to the Head of Marketing. You’ll own daily-weekly execution on social, create short-form content that distills complex research into quantitative insights, and engage authentically with our clients and partners.
You’re capable of codeswitching at the speed of on-chain narratives; from engaging with other leaders in DeFi on behalf of Gauntlet to shipping bangers from our intern account to summarizing new vault strategies. It’s a challenge– not for everyone, but for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Manage our social presence across X, LinkedIn, Farcaster, Discord, Telegram, and new channels
- Leverage your knowledge of Crypto Twitter and our deep bench of experienced protocol experts, engineers, and data scientists to lead social storytelling
- Capture the latest narratives, debates, memes, along with our research, products, and analysis to convert new followers, subscribers, impressions, and engagement on social
- Use our social channels in partnership with our business development and protocol strategy teams to help nurture and convert leads
- Report on social analytics, including campaign performance and attribution analysis; identify trends and refine strategies to reach our target audiences
- Manage Gauntlet main, Gauntlet intern, and Aera social media accounts
- Advance our visual and auditory >
- Create and summarize complex technical content into shortform writing
- Work with our growth, product, and data science teams to distill quantitative research, client success, and partnerships into social content
- Engage with our clients and their social presences; collaborate on co-marketing campaigns
- Plan and execute social media campaigns that help advance our go-to-market strategies
- Convert internal discussion and debate into external content, thoughtfully and with discretion– collaborate with legal and other teams to ensure important messages are communicated clearly and cleanly
- Deepen the bench by giving opportunities for our client-facing team leaders to grow their social followings and brands on behalf of Gauntlet
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in social media, community, and brand marketing– you’ve been in the CT warzone
- You’ve worked in crypto: at a protocol, exchange, or as part of a community
- Track record of success: you’ve grown a successful social following– personal brand, corporate account, or ideally both
- You are terminally online, obsessed with CT and other cryptonative social channels: posting and engaging multiple times a day
- You understand DeFi and crypto culture as a member and participant
- Extremely deep respect and knowledge of social media operational security best practices
- Concise, compelling storyteller

The national pay range for this role is $130,000 - $175,000 plus additional On Target Earnings potential by level and equity in the company. Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for a company of our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
