PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating user-centered design solutions that enhance the overall user experience of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, conceptualize design ideas, and iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.

  • Understand User Needs:
    • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into user needs, goals, and pain points.

  • Improve the user experience, accessibility and adoption of Foundry’s Mining Pool and Mining Operations Software Products
    • Support the needs of internal and external users, establishing feedback systems to consistently gather user insights
    • Solve design challenges holistically, crafting complete experiences rather than just designs, and maintain a sense of curiosity about their performance post-deployment
    • Contribute to Foundry’s efforts to make its mining software more robust, feature-rich and differentiated
  • Engage in the iterative design process:
    • Generate design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.
    • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing results, and stakeholder input, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
  • UI/IX Design:
    • Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience, considering factors such as navigation, interaction design, and visual hierarchy.
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and standards, including creating reusable design components and establishing design guidelines.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders, to incorporate feedback and ensure successful implementation of designs.
  • Contribute to Foundry’s Design System
    • Work closely with UX and Front-end engineering to expand, maintain and evangelize Foundry’s design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across product development efforts.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, seeking opportunities to innovate and experiment with new design approaches.

Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • You have experience producing high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes in Figma
  • You've created and leveraged design systems across a multitude of applications
  • You've conducted design sprints and driven towards carefully crafted MVP Requirements
  • You have experience designing big products through small iterative releases
  • You can empathize and develop rapport with developers.
  • You are a clear writer and a compelling speaker
  • You can develop empathy for customers and make decisions based on their needs, not yours.
  • You excel at explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Vanilla JavaScript.

Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Have been in mining or crypto for +2 years and understand the UX problems in the space
  • Knowledge of data visualization and data storytelling techniques
  • Have built your own applications using frameworks like React/Vue/Svelte
  • Developed and maintained design systems from scratch
  • You are comfortable working remotely as part of a small team, with a high level of autonomy
  • Experience in UI, Interaction Design, and Product is a huge plus
