BitGo is looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead our Wallet division. Managing this team requires close alignment with counterparts in the US. Hands-on coding might be required in order to get a good knowledge of both BitGo and blockchain components. In the long run, the ideal candidate is expected to be closely involved technically in the work of the team. BitGo is looking for an Engineering Manager who will join our team in Bangalore, India.  Responsibilities:

Be accountable for growing BitGo’s Wallets business, by building the best Wallets system for Institutions Collaborate with Product, Trust, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to set the product and technical vision to successfully execute against the same. Provide regular coaching to your team and the broader engineering department Take direct responsibility for quality and delivery of the team’s work Manage end-to-end availability and performance of critical services Encourage best practices in engineering design and usability, leading by example Facilitate thorough documentation and knowledge sharing Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives Work closely with company leadership to identify upcoming opportunities and risks Actively foster an engineering-wide culture that embodies our values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-first approach. Coordinate with stakeholders in the US and other global locations. This potentially involves taking calls in the PST/ EST timezone to keep in sync with your geographically distributed team.

Required Skills & Experience:

8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, 2+ years in a managerial role. Experience in crypto, professional or personal, or an interest in the same. Experience successfully onboarding onto a new organization as a manager. Track record of sourcing and hiring top engineering talent, including managerial talent. Proven success leading engineering-wide initiatives. Demonstrated history of collaborating with products to come up with a product roadmap. Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly working with business stakeholders. Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
