Company Founded in 2018 by CPAs, tax attorneys, and software developers, Taxbit is creating an entirely new category to enable widespread compliant adoption of digital assets for the global economy. Taxbit’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform streamlines and automates customers’ tax reporting and accounting activities for digital assets. Trusted by leading crypto, tech, and traditional enterprises, Big 4 accounting firms, and government agencies (including the IRS), Taxbit solves compliance challenges at scale amidst an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. Taxbit is backed by leading Silicon Valley VCs with teams located in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Europe.Opportunity for Impact Taxbit is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Manager to own the narrative for the essential compliance layer that bridges the gap between digital assets and regulatory reality. From enterprise tax reporting (CARF, 1099s) to government investigations, you will define how the market understands our value. We don’t need an engineer, but we do need a technically fearless storyteller who thrives on complexity. You will report to the VP of Product and partner closely with our world-class team of Tax SMEs, Product Managers, and Engineering leaders to synthesize intricate schemas, APIs, and regulations into a unified market vision. You will act as the bridge between our internal expertise and our external audience, ensuring that as we scale our multi-persona platform, our value proposition remains sharp, consistent, and impossible to ignore. Role and ResponsibilitiesOwn the Launch Strategy: Orchestrate the end-to-end go-to-market process for new products and features. You will define the launch tiers, set internal timelines, and hold the pen on the core messaging that ensures our innovation lands with impact.Architect the Sales Narrative: Collaborate with sales enablement and Marketing to empower GTM with cohesive messaging. For major new products and features, you will produce the "Launch Toolkit" required to win (core pitch deck, battle card, and demo script).
Note: Your role is to build the foundational story and assets that allow Sales to scale, not to handle continuous slide maintenance or bespoke deal modifications.
Translate Technical & Regulatory Complexity: Partner with Tax SMEs, PMs, and Engineering to develop a deep fluency in our platform. You will translate "inputs" (APIs, regulatory updates, data schemas) into clear "outputs" (benefit-focused narratives) for diverse audiences.Drive Continuous Engagement: Move beyond "Big Bang" launches. You will own the ongoing pulse of product communication—including authoring release notes and customer updates—ensuring our users constantly see the value we are shipping.Market & Persona Intelligence: Be the expert on our buyers (from Government Investigators to Enterprise CFOs). You will understand their specific pain points and ensure our roadmap and messaging align with their reality. Professional Qualifications Required:
Experience: 10+ years of total relevant experience in Product Marketing or related functions, with a strong track record in Enterprise B2B SaaS. Technical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to grasp and message complex multi-persona B2B platforms and developer-facing solutions (SDKs/APIs). We aren’t looking for an engineer, but you must be comfortable diving into technical domains, data heavy workflows, and regulatory nuance. Strategic Influence: Proven experience working directly with executive leadership to drive alignment on strategy and positioning, rather than just executing top-down mandates. Regulated Markets: Experience working in regtech, a regulated space or an industry with high compliance requirements.
Nice to have:
Dev-Tool Marketing: Direct experience creating GTM strategies specifically for developer-facing solutions or API products. Domain Expertise: Background in Tax, RegTech, Finance, Fintech, or the Crypto/Web3 ecosystem.
Personal Characteristics
Technically Fearless: You thrive on complexity. You aren't intimidated by technical documentation, tax codes, or regulatory nuance; you see them as a puzzle to be solved and simplified for the market. The "Strategic Doer": You embody the mindset of a growth-stage startup. You are a high-level strategist who can define the vision, but you are also an individual contributor who is eager to roll up your sleeves, write the copy, build the deck, and get the job done. Alignment Builder: You lead through influence, not authority. You have a knack for bringing diverse stakeholders (Product, Sales, Leadership) to the table and facilitating the conversations necessary to get everyone moving in the same direction. Curious & Adaptable: You are comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. You proactively seek out new information to stay ahead of market shifts and product evolutions.
