Jito Labs is architecting the future of high-performance distributed systems on Solana. We believe Solana represents the future of internet-scale finance - a world where anyone, anywhere can access transparent, efficient, and fair markets. To realize this vision, we need to solve some of the hardest technical challenges in distributed systems and quantitative finance.

At Jito Labs, you'll work alongside a small, nimble group of engineers and operators who are passionate about solving complex technical challenges at the cutting edge of Solana trading and infrastructure. Our team culture emphasizes:
High ownership: Every team member drives significant technical decisions and shapes our product roadmap.
Fast execution: We ship rapidly and iterate based on real-world feedback. Progress, not motion.
Technical excellence: We tackle complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions.
Sustainable growth: Strong financials and proven market fit enables us to focus on long-term impact.

If you're excited about:
- Solving complex distributed systems challenges
- Working with cutting-edge trading infrastructure
- Contributing to open-source blockchain technology
- Making a tangible impact on one of the fastest-growing L1 blockchains

...then we want to hear from you.

We offer competitive compensation, significant equity, and the opportunity to work on problems that matter. Don't just watch the future of blockchain unfold - help us build it.

The Opportunity

Jito Labs is looking for an experienced DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of our deployment, reliability, and systems automation stack. You will lead by example, drive infrastructure standards, and build an engineering culture where reliability, automation, and repeatability are the default.

You will work closely with engineering leadership across teams to build a production-grade CI/CD pipeline, improve release safety, eliminate manual ops, and partner with security to move the company toward enterprise-ready maturity.

What You'll Do

    • Design and enforce idiomatic infrastructure deployment patterns
    • Develop mechanisms for safe migrations, automated rollbacks, and canarying
    • Extend and automate CI/CD pipelines to prevent outages and improve reliability
    • Own infrastructure as code architecture; reduce drift and eliminate hand-rolled server changes
    • Improve reproducibility of bare-metal and containerized setups
    • Improve observability across our telemetry stack

You’d Be a Great Fit if You…

    • Have deep experience building CI/CD pipelines, automated release processes, and zero-downtime deployments.
    • Set a cultural bar: lead by example of technical excellence
    • Have led or owned production infrastructure for highly available systems
    • Enjoy turning messy, partially-scripted environments into clean, automated ones
    • Are comfortable being “the adult in the room” for DevOps standards
    • Can work autonomously and help the rest of engineering level up
    • Believe good processes make teams faster rather than just to check a box

Nice-to-Haves

    • Experience with Rust, distributed systems, or other high-performance infrastructure
    • Background / familiarity in crypto / blockchain infrastructure
    • Operated in extremely high-stakes environments where downtime costs millions

Our Infra Stack

    • Infra: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, bare-metal
    • Networking: WireGuard, Tailscale, Teleport VPNs
    • Monitoring: Grafana, Influx, OpenTelemetry
    • Cloud/SaaS: Cloudflare, AWS Route53, misc AWS services
    • Languages: Bash, Rust, some Python
    • Domains: Solana validator infra (nice-to-have), Linux/macOS systems

Benefits

    • Above market compensation and multiple forms of equity
    • 100% employer paid health benefits
    • All-expenses-paid team retreats and conferences
    • Unlimited PTO
    • Weekly meal voucher
    • Salary based on experience
$180,000 - $230,000 a year
