Job Description
This is a Digital Assets/Crypto position. You may occasionally be required to work on “fiat” fractional accounting assignments. This position is a full-time and/or part-time role working as an employee of Kranz Consulting while providing fractional consulting services to our clients. The Digital Assets Accounting Manager position working inside our client companies is an operational and financial staff position that collaborates very closely with the senior management of our clients.

Responsibilities include:
- Implementation – Implement various Digital Assets/crypto subledger software (Bitwave, cryptio et al). A typical client will have hundreds of thousands of transactions, 10’s of wallets and numerous cryptocurrencies.
- Maintenance – Maintain data integrity within the software by coding various transactions in a proper fashion. Maintain month-end account digital assets/wallets reconciliations to ensure records are maintained in compliance with accepted (US GAAP or IFRS) policies and procedures.
- Month end procedures – Work closely with the fiat accounting team for month-end closes. This includes various digital asset journal entries.
- Reporting – Provide various Crypto/Digital assets reports as needed.
- Audit and tax – Maintain and provide various reports/reconciliations for audit and tax purposes
- Fiat accounting – Interact closely with the fiat accounting team throughout the month. Help the fiat accounting team as needed.
- Be the subject matter expert on all Digital Assets/Crypto questions for the client(s).
- Educate yourself with the latest in the blockchain and crypto space.
- Immerse yourself in enterprise blockchain technology, like DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, Web 3.0 and cryptocurrency issues.
- Work closely with the CFO and Controller.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or related field
- Highly analytical, detail oriented and propensity to learn.
- Comfortable with large datasets.
- Possess a solid knowledge of accounting for digital assets.
- 1-3+ years of working in the Crypto/Digital assets/Fintech field.
- Understanding of crypto subledger software’s including but not limited to Bitwave, cryptio or similar.
- 10+ years plus of previous accounting experience
- Prior consulting experience is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, analytical, and responsive communication skills
- Proficient with Xero and QuickBooks.
- Outstanding PC skills with MS Office and Google Suite
